The presentation of the immigration plan desired by the President of the United States, which should allow the approximately 690.000 young immigrants arrived in America as children (the so-called Dreamers), the possibility of obtaining US citizenship over the 10 12 years.
The path to citizenship should also be allowed to other immigrants, for a total of 1,8 million people. The plan, of course, includes the construction of the wall with Mexico, on which Trump does not intend to sell and for which 25 wants billions of dollars. As explained by the White House a few days ago, it will be a "compromise plan, which can get the support of members of both parties" in Congress.
The plan should also include the end of the Green Card lottery and limit the ability for residents to sponsor only spouses and children, excluding other family members. Congress has until February 8 to find a compromise on the Dreamers, after the end of the Daca program that protected them - decided by Trump - and to avoid a new shutdown, or the closure of government activities.
