Car bomb in Mogadishu: at least 14 dead

At least 14 people were killed following the explosion of a car bomb in front of a hotel in the Somali capital of Mogadishu.

Abdiazis Ali, spokesman for the Somali government, speaking to reporters said: "There has been a huge explosion, and the death toll is currently 14 dead and several injured, but it could be heavier."

Last October, another bomb attack in Mogadishu with a truck bomb caused the death of 512 people. Another attack accomplished late last February caused 45 dead and the wounding of 36 people.
