Brexit: online the audio guide on what changes for payments and investments for the ABI and UICI initiative

The audio guide on what's changing for banking and payment services with the UK's exit from the European Union is online. Developed by ABI - Italian Banking Association and UICI - Italian Union of the Blind and Visually Impaired Onlus APS, in collaboration with the UICI National Spoken Book Center, the audio guide is conceived with a simple and immediate language and with practical information, and is support of blind and partially sighted people and their operations, thanks to its fully usable format.

The audio guide helps you understand what the consequences are for money transfers, such as wire transfers and debits to and from the UK, for payments and withdrawals across the Channel, and for managing your investments and savings following Brexit. Through questions and short answers, this new tool in fact offers in audio version the contents of the guide created by ABI in collaboration with banks and consumer associations to represent to citizens what changes in the management of banking operations, investments and insurance contracts. already stipulated after the United Kingdom, starting from 1 January 2021, left the Customs Union and the EU Single Market.

The initiative is part of the actions envisaged by the memorandum of understanding between ABI and UICI for the implementation of information and financial education projects. The commitment of the banking sector in terms of accessibility is in line with the main indications contained in the European Accessibility Act, the reference Directive on these issues, and is developed in the context of the activities promoted by ABI to promote financial and social inclusion of citizens.
