Corporal Major of the Army employed in the suicidal "Safe Roads" operation in a metro station in Rome

An Army soldier on counter-terrorism surveillance as part of the 'safe roads' operation committed suicide this morning with the weapon supplied in the bathroom of the 'Barberini' metro station A. The victim is a corporal from Taranto, under the I Bersaglieri Regiment of Cosenza, he would be 29 years old and would be married with a son.
The soldier was on duty with a colleague, intent on monitoring the flow of users entering and exiting the turnstiles of Line A of the Rome metro. At one point he left his colleague and went to the bathroom reserved for the metro staff and therefore also for those who provide security services. After a while, the sound of a detonation was heard. The other military and station personnel immediately intervened but once they entered the toilet there was nothing more to do for the graduate.
Investigators intervened on the spot for the first investigations and reliefs, as well as army officers in charge of the 'Safe roads' operation.
The Barberini A metro station was closed due to the intervention of the Police. Trains pass without stopping. This is what we read in a tweet from InfoAtac.
