The closing ceremony of the XXXVII Higher Education course of the academic year 2021-2022 was held today in Rome at the “Prefetto Carlo Mosca” Auditorium of the School of Specialization of the Police Forces.
The event took place in the presence of the Minister of the Interior, Prefect Councilor of State Luciana Lamorgese, of the Undersecretary of State for the Interior, Nicola Molteni, of the Chief of Police - Director General of Public Security, Prefect Lamberto Giannini, of the Chief of Defense Staff, Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, of the General Commander of the Carabinieri, of the General CA Teo Luzi, of the representatives of the heads of the Finance Police and of the Department of Penitentiary Administration, as well as of the Ambassador of Algeria and by the representative of the ambassador of Ukraine, countries of origin of the foreign listeners who attended the course.
"Today ambition is celebrated, that is the firm determination not to achieve sterile primates or primacies, but to improve ourselves and the institutions of which we are part, beyond the reasonable, the possible, the usual, the positively experienced, in awareness that "experimenting new things" and "passion" give the meaning of our journey towards the "new man" of security ".
With these words began the Director of the School, Gen. D. CC Giuseppe La Gala, in his opening speech. He then outlined the main activities that characterized the academic year, giving actual concretization to the set objectives: internationality, interinstitutionalization and decision-making.
On the sidelines of his speech, he presented the new logo of the institute, which is the graphic expression of the founding values of the School represented by the walls and arches as load-bearing and solid elements over time, but also by the contextual absence of doors or closures. symbolize openness to confrontation and dialogue.
The Minister of the Interior, in his concluding speech, in wishing the attendants the highest professional successes, recalled how the School is fully fulfilling its institutional mission, proving capable not only of increasing and refining the knowledge of the students, but to also perform its training function in the highest meaning of the term, creating a common system of values for all operators in the security sector.
In particular, he underlined how the School offered particular attention to security issues, through an in-depth study of fundamental issues for the protection of legality, such as justice reform and anti-mafia administrative prevention. Without forgetting current emergencies with respect to which it is necessary to refine prevention and contrast strategies, such as the infiltration risks of organized crime in the use of European PNRR funds or the threat of cybercrime, even more insidious in the current scenario of international conflict.
As per tradition, the ceremony ended with the delivery, to those attending the XXXVII Higher Education course, of the diploma at the end of the course signed by the Minister of the Interior, of the diploma of achievement of the second level university master and of metal badges. certifying the title of "Postgraduate school for the police force - t.SFP", a moment that ideally marks the end of the academic year 2021-2022.
