Ceta agreement sells Made in Italy, strong protests in Montecitorio

Stop the free trade treaty with Canada (Ceta) which legitimizes the imitations of many Italian agri-food excellences, opening the doors to the invasion of durum wheat and meat at zero duty. It is for this reason that thousands of breeders, farmers, consumers, trade unionists, environmentalists came to Rome from all over Italy to demonstrate in Piazza Montecitorio. The initiative is by Coldiretti, allied this time with other organizations (CGIL, Arci, Adusbef, Movimento Consumatori, Legambiente, Greenpeace, Slow Food International, Federconsumatori, Acli Terra and Fair Watch), which ask to investigate the issue in Parliament before to take a ratification decision that would lead to an indiscriminate liberalization and deregulation of trade with a real sale of Made in Italy. Many signs can be read in the square among the banners of the Municipalities that have joined the mobilization: 'No to Fontina Made in Canada', 'We do not sell off our historic brands',' Canadian Parmesan humiliates Italy ',' Parma ham it is made only in Italy.
