GLP, an international operator in investment management and the creation of business su logistics, digital infrastructure, renewable energy and related technologies, announced the start of earthworks on its land of colleferro and to have therefore officially opened the its first construction site in Italy. The site, which is located in the metropolitan area of Rome, allows the construction of a A grade warehouse with a gross area of about 24 thousand square meters. The works are progressing rapidly and the construction it is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2023.
The site has a privileged position in the Rome market, one of the main logistics hubs in the country. The area benefits from excellent road links, with direct access to the A1 motorway, as well as air links, given its proximity to Rome Fiumicino and Ciampino airports.
Structure
The land is part of an existing industrial park where GLP already owns another building, for a total of 46.500 square meters.
As with all GLP developments, the property will be built to strict ESG standards and will be certified Bream Very Good. It will therefore include a number of sustainability features, including rainwater harvesting, charging stations for electric cars, as well as monitoring tools and energy consumption for customers. There will also be a large outdoor relaxation area and a new forest of over 400 trees will be planted on the site.
Future developments
