"Financial Education Month" is back in October. For the sixth edition of the event, the Committee for the planning and coordination of financial education activities (Edufin Committee) will be present throughout Italy with a series of initiatives aimed at promoting the development of financial, insurance and social security culture.

The Committee invites associations, institutions, companies, universities and research centres, schools, foundations, public administrations and any other organization wishing to get involved in the field of financial education to participate in the event.

On the portal www.quellocheconta.gov.it, starting from 12 July, all the information on the "Month", the guidelines with how to join and the form for presenting one's initiatives will be available.

The 2023 edition will take place from 1 to 31 October, both online and in presence, through various methods: conferences, webinars, cultural initiatives, seminars, shows, game days and training events aimed at adults, teenagers and children.

Three important events within the framework of the event have been confirmed again this year: World Investor Week, promoted by the International Organization of Securities Commissions, which will be held from 2 to 8 October, the Week of pension education , scheduled for October 9-14 and Insurance Education Day, taking place on October 19. On 31 October, the Financial Education Month initiatives will end in conjunction with World Savings Day.

"With the Month we call everyone to contribute to financial education in our country”, underlines Annamaria Lusardi, director of the Edufin Committee. “Financial knowledge has become even more important, they are a compass to guide us in an increasingly complex world. This is why they are essential in school and we invite everyone to take initiatives especially for young people, starting from the very young".

The Committee is made up of: Ministry of Economy and Finance, Ministry of Education and Merit, Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy, Ministry of Labor and Social Policies, Bank of Italy, Consob, Covip, Ivass, Ocf, National Council of Consumers and Users.
