The 10 December 2019, at 11, in the Sala Giunta of Palazzo San Giacomo, in Naples, there will be a press conference for the presentation of the Italian Fencing Championships Olympic, Paralympic and Blind MD Naples 2020, which will take place in Naples, from 4 at the 7 June 2020, at the PalaVesuvio. The main theme of the conference will be "Naples Capital of Fencing 2020", the program that includes the stages of approach to the national competition.
The following will be present at the press conference: Ciro Borriello, Councilor for Sport of the Municipality of Naples; Giorgio Scarso, president of FIS (Italian Fencing Federation); Sergio Roncelli, president of CONI Campania; Matteo Autuori, President of FIS Campania; Diego Occhiuzzi, president of the Milleculure Association, which organizes the Championships; Patrizio Oliva, co-president of the Milleculure Association; the Chief of Staff of the Defense, Army Corps General, Luigi Francesco De Leverano, Logistics Commander of the Italian Army and promoter of the "Fencing for Change" project.
They were also invited to take the summits of the Italian Fencing Federation, of the CONI Campania, the Olympians from Campania in fencing and other sports, including the Olympic champion Sandro Cuomo, Technical Commissioner of the Italian national sword team, and the athletes who are in is used for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, including Luca Curatoli, sciabolatore with medals won at the World and European Championships, and Rossana Pasquino, who recently triumphed in the World Cup in Amsterdam, in the female saber, category B.
The initiative is promoted by Regione Campania, Comune di Napoli, ASD Milleculure, Italian Fencing Federation, with the patronage of CONI, CONI Regional Committee for Campania and Regional Paralympic Committee. MD SpA is the title sponsor of the event.
