The request for payment of the second installment has been sent to the EU Commission
All 45 goals and objectives indicated in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan for the first half of 2022 were achieved on schedule. The Ministry of Economy and Finance therefore sent the European Commission the request relating to the payment of the second installment of the funds. of the NRP with a total value of 24,1 billion euros, of which 11,5 billion in non-repayable grants and 12,6 billion in loans.
The actual amount that will be disbursed is equal to 21 billion euros (divided between 10 billion in grants and 11 billion in loans), net of a portion that the Commission retains on each repayment installment, equal to 13% of the pre-financing received in August 2021 from Italy.
The disbursement of the resources by the European Commission will take place in the coming months following the outcome of the evaluation procedure envisaged by the regulations.
