The number of landings on Italian coasts by migrants using “punts” continues to grow. In the last 24 hours are at least 70 the immigrants landed on the southern coasts of Sardinia.

Some arrived on the island crammed into a small wooden and fiberglass boat propelled by a 40 horsepower engine, while another 12 migrants were intercepted by a port patrol boat on a boat about six miles from the coast and arrived in port of Sant'Antioco around 4 in the morning.

Yesterday there were five landings of other fifty Algerians. All were transferred to the Monastir reception center.
