The resolution by which the Region assigns to the Apulian municipalities has been approved by the Regional Council 11.5 million euros for urgent and non-deferrable social protection interventions, which are added to the 33 million euros for Puglia, of which 4,5 for Taranto and province, already made available by the Conte government, through Civil Protection.
The recipients of the regional measure are subjects in serious social need. The resources allocated to the 1.617.263,04 municipalities in the province of Taranto amount to € 29.
So the regional councilor of the Democratic Party Michele Mazzarano, in a note, he commented on the regional resolution: "A breath of fresh air for all those who are in trouble right now because of the economic difficulties generated by the spread of Coronavirus. For an effective and targeted use of the amounts assigned, the municipal bodies will rely on the Municipal Operational Centers, supported by the network of trade union and voluntary associations which will only be able to make an important contribution in the management of resources".
