Coronavirus: contagion situation in Italy. Discharged and healed, they exceed 50% of the total cases

The Department continues its efforts in coordinating all the components and operating structures of the National Civil Protection Service.

In particular, in the field of health monitoring related to the spread of Coronavirus on our territory, to date, May 13, the total number of people who have contracted the virus is 222.104 with an increase compared to yesterday of 888 new cases.

The total number of currently positive is 78.457, with a decrease of 2.809 clients compared to yesterday.

Among the currently positive, 893 are being treated in intensive care, with a decrease of 59 patients compared to yesterday.

12.172 people are hospitalized with symptoms, a decrease of 693 patients compared to yesterday.

65.392 people, equal to 83% of the currently positive, are in isolation without symptoms or with mild symptoms.

Compared to yesterday, 195 died and bring the total to 31.106. The overall number of those discharged and recovered rises to 112.541, with an increase of 3.502 people compared to yesterday.

In detail, the currently positive cases are 30.032 in Lombardy, 12.491 in Piedmont, 6.502 in Emilia-Romagna, 5.020 in Veneto, 3.563 in Tuscany, 2.718 in Liguria, 4.235 in Lazio, 3.013 in the Marche, 1.815 in Campania, 573 in the Autonomous Province Trento, 2.322 in Puglia, 1.889 in Sicily, 779 in Friuli Venezia Giulia, 1.489 in Abruzzo, 413 in the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, 106 in Umbria, 491 in Sardinia, 93 in Valle d'Aosta, 551 in Calabria, 131 in Basilicata and 231 in Molise.
