The number of currently positive ones is still decreasing
The Department continues its efforts in coordinating all the components and operating structures of the National Civil Protection Service.
In particular, in the field of health monitoring related to the spread of Coronavirus on our territory, to date, May 15, the total number of people who have contracted the virus is 223.885 with an increase compared to yesterday of 789 new cases.
The total number of currently positive is 72.070, with a decrease of 4.370 clients compared to yesterday.
Among the currently positive, 808 are being treated in intensive care, with a decrease of 47 patients compared to yesterday.
10.792 people are hospitalized with symptoms, a decrease of 661 patients compared to yesterday.
60.470 people, equal to 84% of the currently positive, are in isolation without symptoms or with mild symptoms.
Compared to yesterday, 242 died and bring the total to 31.610. The overall number of those discharged and recovered rises to 120.205, with an increase of 4.917 people compared to yesterday.
In detail, the currently positive cases are 27.746 in Lombardy, 11.113 in Piedmont, 6.001 in Emilia-Romagna, 4.439 in Veneto, 3.168 in Tuscany, 2.603 in Liguria, 4.088 in Lazio, 2.795 in the Marche, 1.736 in Campania, 2.181 in Puglia, 406 in the Autonomous Province of Trento, 1.760 in Sicily, 741 in Friuli Venezia Giulia, 1.454 in Abruzzo, 359 in the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, 90 in Umbria, 461 in Sardinia, 77 in Valle d'Aosta, 505 in Calabria, 227 in Molise and 120 in Basilicata.
