Minister Valditara: committed to guaranteeing safety and serenity for students, families and school workers
In the context of the measures that the Government envisages to increase safety in schools, a first extension of the insurance coverage for the risks of both school staff and students during the course of the activities of teaching/learning within the education and training system, vocational training and higher education, including ITS. In the case of school staff, the coverage will also cover the damage en route.
"It is a great novelty that goes in the direction in which we have been committed since the beginning of my mandate, guaranteeing safety and serenity for students, families and school workers”, declared the Minister of Education and Merit Joseph Vallettara.

"With this intervention, a difference in treatment, dating back to time, is finally removed, equating the insurance protections for school staff to those for the remaining public employment ". added the Minister. Furthermore, the insurance coverage of students is extended to the maximum, which will include all the activities foreseen in the training offer plan, therefore, also, for example, trips.
This intervention is also part of the more general simplification plan implemented by the Ministry, since in this way it will no longer be necessary for schools to activate comparative procedures for the identification of supplementary insurances, moreover with a burden on the part of families . “I thank Minister Calderone for his extensive collaboration and Minister Giorgetti for the sensitivity shown in ensuring financial coverage”.
