Teachers, the MIM launches an extraordinary recruitment plan

Valditara: “Ensure the regularity of the start of the school year, reduce the precariousness. Important answer for pupils with disabilities”

For the 2023/2024 school year, the Ministry of Education and Merit launched today, with the decree law approved by the Council of Ministers, a plan for the permanent hiring of teachers, pending the holding of the competitions envisaged by the Plan Recovery and Resilience National Team (PNRR).

"With the important teacher recruitment plan that we have decided to support the measures envisaged by the PNRR, we aim to create the conditions for the regular start of the next school year, ensuring didactic continuity for students, the quality of teaching and the reduction of job insecurity. Furthermore, the Ministry provides a prompt and significant response to young people with disabilities, with the most significant introduction of support teachers in recent years, making recruitment procedures more selective", said Minister Giuseppe Valditara.

Furthermore, the Ministry is in the process of launching, in implementation of the PNRR, a competition procedure for teachers who have completed 36 months of service or are in possession of 24 university training credits.

We also intervene on the procedures for carrying out the competition for technical managers with inspection functions of the Ministry of Education and Merit, in order to unblock the procedures for the relative recruitment, which have been stopped for years. With the next announcement it will be possible to saturate the current staffing plan of technical managers, in view of a wider strengthening of the Ministry's inspection function.
