At 13:15 today, Wednesday 14 March, the Air Force intervened with an urgent medical flight to transport a XNUMX-year-old pregnant woman in imminent danger of life from Sardinia.
The flight was carried out by a Falcon 50 aircraft of the 31st Wing of Ciampino, which took off following a request received by the Prefecture of Cagliari at the Summit Situation Room of the Air Squad Command.
The F50, arrived in Cagliari to embark the young patient together with a medical team, then landed at about 14 pm in Bologna, where the woman was disembarked and urgently transported to the S. Orsola-Malpighi Hospital in Bologna. , where he was able to receive the necessary specialist care.
Missions of this type require high operational readiness. The Air Force aircraft are available to citizens every single day of the year, with vehicles and crews capable of operating in complex weather conditions, ensuring the urgent transport not only of people in imminent danger of life and medical teams, as happened today for the young patient, but also of organs and ambulances.
