Eni and Sonatrach strengthen their collaboration by renewing the gas supply contract up to 2027

The agreement covers approximately 15% of gas imports into Italy

Eni and Sonatrach have signed agreements for the renewal until 2027 (with two optional additional years) of the supply contract for the import of Algerian gas into Italy, also defining the agreement relating to the transportation of gas through the pipeline that crosses the Mediterranean Sea. These agreements mark another fundamental step in the path of a historic partnership in the supply and transport of gas that dates back to over 40 years ago, and which includes large projects linked to gas pipelines and decades of guaranteed supplies to Italy.

Eni's Chief Executive Officer, Claudio Descalzi, said: “I am very satisfied with the agreements reached and the level of strategic collaboration we have reached with Sonatrach, ranging from the exploration and production sector, to the transport and marketing of gas, to renewable ".
