The partnership between the company and the Italian Commissioner has been signed

Eni announces its participation in Expo 2020 in Dubai as the “Platinum Sponsor” of the Italian Pavilion, where the company will talk about its decarbonization strategy through innovation across the entire energy supply chain.

Eni will be present in the Italian Pavilion with an installation created by the architecture and innovation studio CRA-Carlo Ratti Associati and Italo Rota which recreates in an artistic key a cultivation of microalgae through a cascade of technological lianas, up to 20 meters long. Microalgae, illuminated by LEDs, flow inside each of them: the transparent circuit thus becomes a spectacular presentation of the biological process of growth of microalgae in the photobioreactor, where by feeding on CO2 these unicellular organisms produce high-value compounds and more.

Eni's commitment to the energy transition is reflected in the choice to focus on technological innovation to find new solutions for the production of energy with the lowest carbon impact. In fact, thanks to the collaboration with over 70 Universities and Research Centers around the world, Eni is developing new technologies in the field of decarbonisation, renewable energy and circular economy that will be presented in the Eni space at Expo 2020, with a dedicated video schedule and with the participation of the company in events and talks throughout the exhibition semester.
