Car exploded by the daughter of Dugin, Putin's ideologist. Died at 30, her father must have been in the same car as her

Daria Dugina, 30, political commentator and daughter of Oleksandr Dugin - considered "Putin's ideologue" - died following the explosion of her car on the outskirts of Moscow. The incident took place around 21.45pm local time on Saturday near the village of Velyki Vyazomi, about 20 kilometers west of the Russian capital. According to preliminary information, the woman was driving a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado owned by her father and on which there were no other passengers.

After the explosion - some witnesses said - the car overturned and went off the road. The charred (and unrecognizable) body of the victim was recovered by rescuers who arrived on the spot. In some videos - released online - Dugin is seen in despair, with his hands in his hair, a few meters from the burning car. At the moment, the most probable hypothesis is that it was an attack: according to some sources, Dugin himself - engaged in a conference on "Tradition and history" near Moscow in the evening (which was also attended by Daria Dugina as a guest) - he was supposed to be in the car with his daughter, a TV commentator, but in the end he decided to travel in another car.

Oleksandr Dugin, advisor to several politicians, is a Russian philosopher known for his anti-Western, far-right and “neo-Eurasian” views. In recent years he has been defined by the Western media as one of the inspirers of Vladimir Putin's foreign policy, while the Russian press considers him a "marginal figure" for his views that he "considered too radical even by nationalists". In 2014 - reports Russia Today - he was fired from Moscow State University after his appeal to "kill, kill, kill" the Ukrainians.

The leader of the breakaway republic of Donetsk, Denis Pushlin, confirmed the news of Darya Dugina's death, attributing the attack - according to the agency News - and "Terrorists linked to the Ukrainian regime".

The Russian authorities have opened a murder proceeding . The detail further supports the track of the terrorist attack. Police assume the presence of a hidden device on the Toyota. "The person behind the wheel died instantly" and the identity of the victim was also confirmed, only person in the car. A witness and friend of Dugin, the activist Pyotr Lundstrem, confirmed that the political scientist also had to travel on that vehicle but that he gave up only at the last minute. Meanwhile Dugin was hospitalized, according to what was announced by Serghei Markov, political scientist and friend of Putin.

alexander dugin, ideologist and geopolitics expert, father of the "Fourth Political Theory", is as mentioned inspirer of the Kremlin line of the last years, resulted in the invasion of Ukraine. Ultranationalist and conservative, enemy of liberal principles, he imagines the existence of a"Eurasian" area common, including precisely Europe and Russia that it must be opposed to the United States, to its culture, to its political vision considered to be overpowering. Russia's role would therefore be that of break or weaken the western axis moving the European countries away from Washington. In this key Dugin supported Moscow's invasion of Ukraine. He is also supporter of an extremely traditionalist Orthodox religion, contrary to individual rights and freedoms to which to oppose instead belonging to an identity community. For these positions it is target of sanctions for several years already by some governments, for example the United States and Canada.

Also his daughter Darya Dugina, 30, had been hit by similar measures. It is known about the woman that she graduated in philosophy in Moscow in 2015. She too was establishing herself as a geopolitical analyst, following in the footsteps of her father. She too was a supporter of the Eurasian Movement led by Dugin himself and had become one anchor woman of the TV channel belonging to the oligarch Konstantin Malofeev. On 4 June she was included in the list of people sanctioned by the UK government (among them the magnate Roman Abramovic) for having expressed support or promoted policies favorable to the Russian aggression of Ukraine. He was at number 244 on the list of 1.331 sanctioned individuals, as a "high-profile author of the disinformation about Ukraine and the Russian invasion of Ukraine on various online platforms", as well as responsible for supporting and promoting policies or initiatives to destabilize Ukraine to compromise or threaten its "territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence".
