Extradited to Italy Rassoul Bissoultanov, one of the authors of the fatal beating of Niccolò Ciatti

Policemen, carabinieri and financiers of the Service for International Police Cooperation, of the Central Direction of the Criminal Police led by the Prefect Vittorio Rizzi, an articulation of the Department of Public Security, today brought Rassoul BISSOULTANOV, co-author of the homicidal beating against the young Florentine back to Italy Niccolò Ciatti, which took place in a nightclub in Lloret de Mar (Costa Brava) in Spain in August 2017.

The arrest of Bissoultanov and today's delivery are the result of the intense collaboration between the Carabinieri of the ROS - Violent Crimes Department and the SCIP with the Italian network of Security Experts in Spain and Germany.

A complex activity already started in January of this year through the channels of international police cooperation for the search of both Bissoultanov and his accomplice Movsar MAGOMADOV.

Bissoultanov was detained at the Figueres prison in Spain, precisely in relation to the criminal proceedings opened in that country after the murder of the young Ciatti, while the Magomadov, who had lost his tracks, was subsequently located by the SCIP in France through the work of the Operational Safety Expert across the Alps.

In February 2021 Bissoultanov had already been notified of the European arrest warrant issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Rome, but the Spanish judicial authority had released him with the obligation to sign weekly.

Benefiting from the semi-liberty regime during a period of leave granted by the Iberian judges to be able to meet family members, he lost track of himself.

The SCIP immediately entered the international arrest order in the Schengen database (SIS), allowing the German police to identify and arrest the fugitive on 3 August.

The immediate exchange of information between Italy and Germany made it possible to confirm the identity of the subject and subsequent extraditional activities ensured today's delivery.
