This morning, at the Centro Congressi Roma Eventi, during a multimedia conference, the project "In the shoes di Caino to understand and defend Abel's reasons ", an initiative of education to legality for the prevention of antisocial behaviors expressed through the use of immersive virtual reality, developed by the Central Directorate for the traffic, railway, communications and departments police specials of the State Police in partnership with the Department of Psychology of the "Sapienza" of Rome and financed with funds from the PON Legality.
The event was attended, as speakers, by the Central Director for the traffic police, railway, communications and special departments of the State Police, Prefect Daniela Stradiotto and the Director of the Psychology Department of Sapienza University of Rome, Prof .ssa Anna Maria Giannini.
The Guarantor for childhood and adolescence, Dr. Carla Garlatti, also participated in the conference.
The objective of the program, of absolute originality also in the international academic panorama, is the construction of a training protocol that enhances the different perspectives of the victim and the perpetrator of a crime, through the projection, on 3D viewers, of scenarios and situations built to induce deep emotional states.
The peculiarity of the project lies precisely in the scientific research applied to the use of the most modern technologies, for a new, more current, model of education to legality.
The Central Directorate for the traffic police, railway, communications and special departments of the State Police and the Department of Psychology of the Sapienza of Rome, will propose the training experience to the students of the secondary schools of the second degree of the PON Regions (Calabria, Basilicata, Puglia, Campania, Sicily) as early as November 14 in the province of Reggio Calabria, through the intervention of the operators of the postal and communications police and the team of psychologists of Sapienza.
