Extradited from France Mario Miceli, son-in-law of the boss Barbaro of Buccinasco

The SCIP (International Police Cooperation Service) of Criminalpol reported in Italy Mario MICELI, 62enne of Platì, arrested last September, in the port town of Arzon in Brittany.

A fugitive from around 9 months, he is the recipient of a European arrest warrant, issued by the Public Prosecutor at the Milan Court of Appeal, for the crime of mafia-style criminal association.

Miceli was a strong man of the Barbaro-Papalia clan, above all in Lombardy, where he was responsible for the management of transport and construction equipment for the Ndrangheta association, exploiting the high level of infiltration of the cosca in the management of public tenders and subcontracts.

His capture and today's extradition are the result of the incessant work of the Italian ROS investigators and the Capture Section of the Carabinieri Provincial Command of Milan with the international support of the SCIP, which through ENFAST (European Network of Fugitive Active Search Teams) coordinated the activities with the French police colleagues, for the localization and the subsequent arrest.

The formalities of the arrest of Miceli on the national territory are in progress in the Fiumicino Air Border Police Offices and will then be conducted in prison at the disposal of the Milanese Judicial Authority.
