The episode comes at the height of a climate of threats posed by the three individuals, aimed at obtaining payment of the undue sum without any justification.
For days, the complainant and his wife had received numerous calls from an anonymous user, whose interlocutor, who from the voice was recognized by the couple as always being the same subject, ordered the payment of the sum of money, threatening serious repercussions in case of failure payment of what is requested. “I know where your son and daughter go to school and your wife too [...] I also know when you go to shit for two months they've been watching you, understand? […] when you will see our faces … and you will understand surnames is another story”.
As the days went by, the requests became so violent and explicit that the victim found the courage to report the facts to the Carabinieri. The author of the calls, in fact, had told the interlocutor that they would have thrown him in the legs in front of his family and, lastly, that they would have placed a bomb in front of his house. After receiving the complaint, the soldiers of the Arma immediately proceeded to develop the investigations aimed at identifying those responsible for the intimidation, arriving, through the intersection of the telephone records and the entrance and exit gates of the Municipality of Brugherio, at identification of the author of the phone calls, a twenty-nine year old from Milan.
Following the latest threat, precisely the one in which the possibility of a bomb exploding inside the spouses' home was feared, the Carabinieri of Monza organized an ocp service in the immediate vicinity of the victims' homes. During the service, the military thus noticed the arrival at high speed of a car which stopped at the gate of the court. Two individuals got out of the car who, having entered quickly inside, ran back to the car, and then set off again at high speed. A few moments later, the operators heard a loud roar coming from the attentive court, thus proceeding to check the suspect vehicle and its occupants. The same, subjected to a search, were surprised in possession of three lighters and a telescopic metal truncheon. The driver of the car, the man already identified by the Carabinieri as the author of the phone calls, boasts numerous precedents. Subsequent identification operations made it possible to ascertain that of the two competitors, a 19-year-old of Apulian origins and a XNUMX-year-old of Campania origins, both residing in the Milanese hinterland, the former had a clean record.
