Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV ("FCA") (NYSE: FCAU / MTA: FCA) announces the appointment of Massimiliano (Max) Trantini to the position of President of Guangzhou Automobile Group (GAC) Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Sales Co., Ltd., the company distribution of FCA with GAC in China.
Trantini brings in his role a vast experience in the sector, with previous positions that include that of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Getrag Jiangxi Transmissions, CEO of the joint venture in the transmission sector between FCA and GAC and more recently that of Director of China Business for FCA.
The initiative is part of the actions that FCA is taking in order to strengthen the competitiveness of its business in China.
The appointment takes effect immediately. Daphne Zheng, current President of the distribution company and FCA's Chief Operating Officer for China, leaves the Group.
