Comment on the Group's sales results in the Italian car market

In Italy, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles 2019 thousand cars registered in 452, for a share of 23,6%. In the last quarter of the year, the Group registered almost 99 thousand vehicles (equal to 22% of the share) and from July to December sales were 185 thousand for a share of 22,2%.

In December FCA registered a total of almost 31 thousand cars for a share of 22,1%.

The main models of the group are highlighted: the best-selling cars in the respective segments are the Fiat Panda and Qubo, the Lancia Ypsilon and the Alfa Romeo Stelvio. Finally, among the best selling top ten ever - in addition to Panda which once again is by far the best selling car ever - there are four other FCA models: Lancia Ypsilon, Fiat 500X and the Jeep Compass and Renegade.

The result obtained by the brand is truly significant in 2019 spear, which with 59 thousand registrations increased sales by 21% compared to 2018, demonstrating the strong appreciation of Italian customers for the Ypsilon model, which continues to be the top seller in our country. The brand's share in 2019 is 3,1%, up by half a percentage point compared to the previous year.

In December, almost 4 thousand Lancia registered for a share of 2,8%, while in the last quarter of the year the brand cars registered were 13 thousand with a share of 2,9%.

Ypsilon is confirmed among the top ten in the absolute (third) ranking with always decidedly high sales volumes that make them conclude 2019 as the best seller in the B segment.

Strongly growing end of the year for the brand Fiat which in December registered almost 19.300 cars (+ 2,9% compared to the same month in 2018) obtaining a share of 13,8%.

In the annual overall, Fiat registers just under 286 thousand cars for a share of 14,9%.

As for the models, Panda continues to dominate the absolute ranking during the year (as well as being first also in December with 10.200 registrations) and leads sales in the A segment steadily.

Qubo is also the best-selling multi-space car, demonstrating a long-standing success achieved thanks to great flexibility, the large spaces available on board and in the load compartment, all in contained external dimensions.

Finally, the results obtained by 500X (also among the top ten and best-selling in the year of its segment), Tipo (once again at the top of sales in the C segment) and 500L, which is the most popular car sold in the category in 2019.

There are two Fiat models among the top ten of the month: in addition to the Panda - as stated before - the 500X also ranks among the top ten best-selling cars.

As for the brand Abarth, 2019 was the 70th anniversary year, with a series of versions that met with great public success. The band, compared to 2018, increased sales of the year by 7%.

Throughout 2019 Jeep it registers 81.500 cars, obtaining a 4,25% share. In December the brand registered over 5.700 cars, reaching a share of 4,1%. After the strong growth of the previous years, Jeep has consolidated the position of leader among SUVs by offering a complete range of all-wheel drive "without compromise". The arrival in the coming months of the new models produced in Melfi (the Compass and the plug-in hybrid versions of the Renegade and of the Compass itself) will help give a new boost to the brand's results.

Speaking of the models, the results of Renegade (the most sold in the year in the category, second only to the 500X), Compass (once again among the top ten and at the top in its segment) and Cherokee (which in 2019 increases sales of 120%).

Alfa Romeo in 2019 it registered 25.900 cars, for a share of 1,35%, while in December the registrations of the brand were over 2 thousand (4,8% more than a year ago) and the share is above 1,4, 2019%, among the best of XNUMX.

Among the models, the success of Stelvio, the best-selling in the category both in the year and in December, should be highlighted, when it obtains a 19,3% share. Also noteworthy are the results of Giulia, who continues to occupy the first positions in the hard-fought D segment with the sedan only.
