FCA: reported an increase in sales in August

In August, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles recorded an increase in sales: in fact, registrations (24.700) increased by 2,6 per cent compared to the same month a year ago, for a share of 27 per cent. The growth of registrations to private individuals, the 24,5 percent, was particularly significant, which allowed a drastic reduction in sales of the so-called 0 km.

In the progressive annual FCA registrations amount to over 369.800 units, for a share of 27,1 percent.

Supporting these results are all top models, with the ranking of the best-selling cars once again dominated by the FCA cars, with 6 cars in the top ten: Panda, Compass, 500X, Tipo, Renegade and 500L.

With almost 5.700 registrations, Jeep registers a new positive result in August: in fact, sales increase by 137,8 percent compared to last year and the share stands at 6,2 per cent, the highest ever achieved by the brand, well 3,3 points percentages more than the 2017.

The trend of the brand in the progressive annual is equally positive: almost 61 thousand registered Jeeps (the 104 percent more than the 2017) and quota at 4,5 per cent.

In the month, Compass and Renegade have achieved really positive results. The first was the third best-selling car of the month with over 3 thousand registrations and a share in the 18,7 percent segment. The Renegade, in addition to steadily confirmed in the top ten, is the most sold of its segment (with almost 2.100 registrations and a share of 14,5 percent) second only to 500 X. Finally, the Grand Cherokee is the most sold of its segment with a share of 22,9 percent.

With over 3.600 registered in August - the 66,6 percent more than last year - once again Alfa Romeo gets a significantly better result than the market, with a share of 3,9 percent, up 1,35 percentage points.

In the first eight months of 2018 the registrations of the brand are 35.800, the 16,3 percent more than last year, for a share of 2,6 percent, up by 0,4 percentage points.

The Fiat brand in August matriculates over 14.100 cars for a share of 15,5 percent.

The Fiat registrations for almost 241.200 in the first eight months of the year amount to a share of 17,7 per cent.

Fiat is the brand that has played an important role in the growth of registrations to individuals. The brand has four cars in the top ten and almost all the models dominating the respective segments: Panda first in the A segment with the 32,9 per cent share; Type first in the C segment with a share of 23,1 percent; 500X at the top of its category with a share of 20,6 percent; 500L with the 48,5 percent dominates its segment; Qubo and Doblò with the 45,4 percent together drive the sales of their category. Lastly, the result of 124 Spider, before the segment with a share of 45,6 percent, should also be noted.

In August, Lancia registered almost 1.300 cars, equal to a percentage of 1,4 per cent. Almost 32 thousand Lancia registered in the progressive annual for a share of 2,3 percent.
