New "High Impact" anti-crime operation in the province of Foggia, after the institutional visit of the Minister of the Interior Luciana LAMORGESE, last January 17th. Last night, about a hundred law enforcement officers belonging to the State Police, the Carabinieri and the Guardia di Finanza, searched the territory by carrying out searches, inspections, checkpoints and checks on commercial establishments.
The operation follows the previous ones and constitutes the umpteenth offensive launched by the police against Foggia crime, after the bomb and arson attacks that occurred at the beginning of the year. Also yesterday evening an articulated prevention device was implemented, made particularly effective and visible, thanks to the use of numerous special and reinforcement departments sent by the Minister of the Interior on the territory of Capitanata to strengthen the territorial control and law enforcement services. to crime.
The activity was carried out with the use of anti-drug and anti-explosive canine units, helicopter crews, operators specializing in scientific investigations and departments specialized in road and rural air controls.
