But in the 1961 the General Staff of the Air Force decided to

to establish a National Acrobatic Patrol with a permanent headquarters in the Rivolto airport, in Friuli Venezia Giulia.

Thus was born the 313 ° Group of Acrobatic Training "Frecce Tricolori"; this is the official organic name of a Department made up of more than 100 soldiers including Officers, NCOs and Ranks of Troops from all the operational, logistic and support departments, representing the over 40000 men and women that make up the Air Force today Military.

G.91 PAN. At the end of the 1981 the 313 ° Group made the transition on the Aermacchi MB-339A PAN, an Italian design and construction aircraft, which has accompanied the life of this Department for over 35 years.

To date, PAN has flown more than 2000 demonstrations, visiting European countries, nations of North Africa, the Middle East, Canada and the United States of America.

In the 2020 the Frecce Tricolori will celebrate their 60 ^ acrobatic season, a special birthday that will give life to an air show right at the military airport of Rivolto, which will be attended by some of the most prestigious acrobatic patrols in the world and the main Italian industrial and aerospace realities .
