Chinese air forces are practiced in the South China Sea and the Western Pacific

A vast military exercise carried out by the Chinese Air Force has been concluded, which has seen aircrafts engaged in the Chinese and the western Pacific after crossing the southern islands of Japan.

China is carrying out an ambitious program of modernization of military, naval and air vehicles, directed and supervised by President Xi Jinping.

In a statement, the Air Force said the H-6K bombers and the Su-30 and Su-35 fighters carried out patrol and combat flights over the South China Sea and the Western Pacific after flying over the Miyako Strait, which it is located between two southern Japanese islands.

As explained in the information note, sending Su-35 fighters to the South China Sea aims to increase the ability of aviation to fight offshore and make it an "important force for crisis management and control" .
