G20 Education in India, Valditara: "The ultimate goal of our reforms is to educate to freedom and the centrality of work"

The action of the government of Italy is highlighted in the Final Report

At the end of the G20 Education Ministers' Meeting, held yesterday in Pune, UNESCO, OECD and UNICEF, together with the Indian Presidency, presented the final report of the works. Among the good practices, great emphasis was placed on the actions promoted by Italy to encourage fundamental linguistic and mathematical skills, combat early school leaving, promote educational and professional pathways through measures such as the personalization of learning and the strengthening of technical and professional education, with the aim of bringing the world of school closer to the world of work.

“The ultimate goal of education is to educate for freedom and to create the conditions for offering every student opportunities for professional success. It is therefore important to make students aware of the centrality of work. This is the ultimate goal of all our reforms”, commented the Minister of Education and Merit Giuseppe Valditara.
