Russian energy giant Gazprom has completed construction of the offshore sections of the second stretch of the Turkish Stream pipeline on Russian territory. This was reported in a press release by South stream transport Bv, Gazprom's subsidiary for the development of the project, in which it is emphasized that work continues on the construction of the first section of the gas pipeline in the exclusive economic zone of Turkey. "On November XNUMXth, the first section of the Turkish Stream gas pipeline entered Turkey's exclusive economic zone, the pipe-laying vessel Pioneering Spirit, one of the largest in the world, celebrated this moment and placed the sections of the pipeline by hoisting flags of Russia and Turkey, a symbol of the crossing of the border between the two countries ”, reads the statement.
