Sarah Sanders, a White House spokeswoman, said the United States is considering a different way to combat possible Russian interference in the upcoming US elections.
This morning Mike Rogers, head of the NSA, said he had not received orders from President Donald Trump to fight the Russian hackers.
Sanders stated that "Nobody is denying his authority, we are looking for a different way to put pressure". Referring to the Russian hacker attack during the 2016 presidential elections, the spokesperson added: "This president, as I told you last week, is much harsher with Russia than his predecessors. Do not forget that it happened with Obama. It did not happen under President Trump. "
