Editorial

Gaza City is surrounded, the Israeli chief of staff announced Herzi Halevi: “Our forces are in the heart of the northern Strip, inside Gaza City, which is completely surrounded".

Netanyahu announced an operation “now at its peak”, inviting the population of Gaza to reach the south. 19 Israeli soldiers and 130 terrorists would have died on the field, writes Ansa.

US spy drones fly over Gaza in search of hideouts where approximately 240 hostages are being held, of which at least 10 are Americans.

In the meantime, for the second consecutive day, hundreds of foreigners, those with dual nationality and even injured Palestinians managed to exit the Rafah crossing, between Gaza and Egypt.

The US Secretary of State is expected to arrive in Tel Aviv today, Antony blinken to try to convince Netanyahu to the granting of short “humanitarian pauses” for the safe release of hostages and the distribution of aid.

Sul cease-fire the road is still uphill because the Israeli campaign will not end until the last terrorist is killed.

Today is a crucial day because the head of Hezbollah will be speaking on TV, Hassan Nasrallah. There are many options on the field even if the southern front has already seen an increase in the intensity of clashes with artillery fire, rocket launches and skirmishes with light weapons since yesterday. There would be nineteen firing points activated along the entire front line with the help of the fighters of the Qassam Brigades.

Israel has denounced that an Iranian militia is helping the group's Shiite militiamen Imam Hussein to fight Israel from southern Lebanon.

CNN reported on a US intelligence dossier that revealed the Russian company's involvement in the conflict Wagner, ready to supply an air defense system (SA-22) to Hezbollah.

US Intelligence would be aware of the fact that the Syrian president Bashar al-Assad accepted the proposal to supply the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah with the Russian-made missile defense system, SA-22.

The Russian mercenary organization Wagner, which operates in Syria, was tasked with carrying out the delivery of the surface-to-air missile system. There is no certainty whether the delivery has already been made.

Wagner and Hezbollah fighters have operated for years in Syria, where they worked alongside Russian and Syrian militaries to support the Assad regime against the Syrian opposition. Hezbollah has begun withdrawing its fighters in recent years, the group is also supported by Iran, which is a close ally of Assad. A third source familiar with Western intelligence said there was evidence of growing collaboration between Hezbollah and Wagner in Syria.

Israel has already targeted these missile systems inside Syria, as part of broader Israeli strikes against Iranian military sites in the country.

The US intelligence community, writes CNN, believes – for now – that Iran and its proxies are calibrating their response to the Israeli military intervention in Gaza to avoid a direct conflict with Israel or the United States.

However, according to US intelligence, Iran is unable to maintain total control over terrorist groups acting as proxies in the Middle East, and US officials are deeply concerned that the group's internal politics could lead Hezbollah to escalate ongoing tensions.

Today the speech by Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah could be decisive in understanding the real intentions of his one hundred thousand militiamen, in reference to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.
