Important IS leader killed in international raid southeast of Nineveh

Wathiq al-Hamdani, chief of the governor's police, announced that one of the Islamic State warlords (Is) was killed in an air raid by the international coalition in the northern Iraqi province of Nineveh.

In a statement, "Ninive police, assisted by the International Coalition, yesterday carried out a security operation in a terrorist organization headquarters in the southeastern part of the province, killing one of the warlords known as Ibrahim Yassin" .

The prime minister and commander in chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, Haider al Abadi, announced the 31 last August the total liberation of Nineveh from the yoke of the self-styled "caliphate".
