A woman in red code at the San Camillo hospital in Rome for a car accident shortly after 15pm on Saturday 3 September on the A / 1. Her car ended up in the middle of the road after a carom. The causes of the impact are not known at the moment. The involvement of another machine or other means would seem to be excluded. The driver would have lost control of the car.
The accident occurred in a southerly direction on the Autostrada del Sole, between Valmontone and Colleferro. The intervention of two fire brigade teams was required to extract the woman from the car. Then, the helicopter rescue intervened to transport her to the hospital.
The investigations are entrusted to the Traffic Police, which listened to some motorists in transit and is verifying the possibility that the accident was filmed by the motorway cameras. The accident, with the subsequent closure of the section, paralyzed traffic causing long queues of motorists who were stuck waiting for the safety operations to be completed.
