The protocol signed between MIT and the construction trade unions for the acceleration of construction sites, through the optimization of 24-hour work shifts, also applies to the infrastructural works of the Recovery Plan.

The extension of the agreement was signed by the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Paola De Micheli, and by the leaders of the trade unions FenealUil, Vito Panzarella, Filca-Cisl, Stefano Macale, and Fillea-Cgil, Alessandro Genovesi.

The rules of the agreement, already in force for the works commissioned on the basis of Article 9 of the Simplification Law Decree, will be applied to all the infrastructures identified in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) to implement the "Next Generation EU ".

"On the occasion of the signing on 11 December last - says Minister De Micheli - we had argued that the agreement with the trade unions would take on the role of a model, with the aim of increasing quality employment within a framework of rules of legality and safety. With the extension of the agreement, we accelerate the construction sites of all those complex and strategic works included in the Recovery Plan, because only by creating more work will our country be able to make that leap in quality in the direction of growth and development ".
