On the occasion of the Regional Seapower Symposium of Venice, the Heads of the Marine of the six nations participating in the initiative Adriatic-Ionian ADRION - Albania, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Montenegro and Slovenia - met on the prestigious Amerigo Vespucci Vessel Ship School for a regular meeting aimed at evaluating the cooperation plans in place to identify new areas for further enhancements.
In a climate of open and active participation, the Head of the Italian Navy - Admiral Valter Girardelli - and his counterparts discussed various issues of common interest. The fully shared objective focussed on the possibilities of increasing the maritime security level in the region of interest and broadening the spectrum of collaborations in the act and the future, including research and development in different fields such as fuel innovative and alternative.
