Letter sent to EU Commission. Conte, "evaluate without prejudice"

Today it was sent the letter  (full text) to the European Commission in response to the findings made by the Commission on the proposal of the Italian economic maneuver for the next three years.

Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte then met with the foreign press and said:

"We said why we set it in these terms, we explained the direction of our economic policy, the goals we intend to achieve. But we are willing to put ourselves at a table to continue a dialogue with the European Commission ".

We reiterated in the letter that we are absolutely in Europe, we want to dialogue with the EU institutions, we want this dialogue to take place in the spirit of constructive dialogue, we do not question the role of the EU commissionIf an EU commissioner before reading the maneuver and before the EU letter arrives tells me that this maneuver will be rejected, I say that it is a prejudice and that it is unacceptable that it comes from those who represent an institution.

If a rejection occurs, we will sit down at a table and evaluate together. The 2,4% is the maximum ceiling that we have solemnly committed ourselves to respect, even in the three-year program we have planned to go to 1,8% in the 2022. We are also available to evaluate containment during the implementation of the maneuver. The big problem with Europe is those who program growth at "zero point", we program it at 1,5%. But we have a lot of structural reforms to do, some of them  we have already done and the others we will make to affect where we must grow. When I can manage the non-spent EU funds with the control room, you will see that the growth will fly. When I have done the simplification will fly.

The patrimonial is absolutely excluded: if for some reason we had to go in difficulty simply we would adopt some cuts of expenditure to return to the prefigured objectives. We must not revolve around the fact that this government experience is supported by two forces called sovereign and described as anti-system. This does not mean that they are political forces that want to undermine the rule of law but that put and question many laws. We do not want anarchy but we are here to renew the system, it is a point that should be understood otherwise you will not be able to grasp our experience. Ours is a kind revolution. I considered it opportune and necessary for the new Cdm on the tax decree to verify that the text translated the agreement on time. So we did it in full transparency, verifying the texts better, reviewing the agreement reached and packaging a text that faithfully translates the terms of the agreement. On the tax decree there was the need to return to the Council of Ministers because as you can imagine tax legislation is very complex, I can assure you that it is very complex to write the rules and interpret them. There was a draft for the supplementary declaration that had arrived during the Cdm, written in a hurry and personally delivered to me, some technical and interpretative doubt had arisen and there was some misunderstanding".
