The empty chairs are not, unfortunately, a novelty and are the consequence of a lack of programming on competitions in recent years. Also for this reason it is important, as the Minister of Education Lucia Azzolina has repeatedly stressed, that the competition machine can start again as soon as possible, that the course is reversed and that competitions can be made periodically, without hiccups.
With this aim, competitions were launched in late April 62 thousand seats, subsequently taken to 78mila. Of these, 32 thousand are intended for an extraordinary procedure for first and second grade secondary schools and, therefore, for precarious workers. When converting the school decree, Parliament approved a variation on the extraordinary competition, reviewing the modality of the entrance tests. The Ministry is therefore working to revise the call and start overtime and other competitions for which the necessary union information has been held and the opinion of the Higher Council of Education is being acquired.
In the meantime, in the coming days, the Ministry of Education will announce the quota for this year's recruitments which will be authorized by the Ministry of Economy and Finance and will then proceed with the appointments in the role, as every year, from the rankings to exhaustion and the competition rankings still in force.
