The joint patrols between the Italian and Chinese police forces return to Beijing, the innovative project involving Italian agents, supported by Chinese colleagues, in a patrolling activity in the tourist places of the capital, to assist Italian tourists find and facilitate communication with Chinese police forces in case of need.
The program was presented today in Beijing during a ceremony organized by the Ministry of Public Security in Qianmen, in the heart of the Chinese capital, in the presence of Ambassador Sequi and the Deputy Chief of Police, Prefect D´ANGELO.
“International police cooperation is one of the main objectives of the Department of Public Security. Joint patrols are certainly an operational element that has brought and brings concrete results for our citizens in Italy and abroad, ”said the Deputy Chief of Police, Prefect D´Angelo. "This initiative is a" success story "for cooperation between Italy and China in the field of public safety," said Ambassador Sequi in his inaugural greeting addressed to the patrol boats. “It is no coincidence that joint patrols are publicly appreciated both by institutions and by the increasing number of Italian and Chinese tourists” continued Sequi.
The joint patrols initiative - now in its second edition in China - aroused appreciation and great interest in groups of tourists from Italy and many other countries this year as well.
Personnel from the State Police and Carabinieri Police and Chinese police officers will jointly patrol in four cities in the People's Republic from 16 to 29 July.
In Beijing and Shanghai, Hangzhou and Xi'an will be added this year, renowned tourist destinations for tens of thousands of visitors from all over the world.
In Italy, from the 28 May to the past 17 June, the Chinese Police operators have already been welcomed who, together with colleagues from the State Police and the Carabinieri Police, have carried out patrols in the city of Rome, Milan, Venice and Prato. repeating again this year the good results achieved in the two previous editions.
