The "FORUM PA 2020 - Digital Resilience", an online event organized from 6 to 11 July, ended yesterday.
The leitmotif of this year's edition was the health emergency due to Covid-19 which represented an unparalleled challenge also for the Public Administration which, in addition to assuming a central role in the management of the emergency itself, required its rapid and effective innovation in the various sectors.
The Defense General Staff has always been committed to innovation and the digitalization of work processes, and with participation in the forum of the Public Administration it has been able to illustrate the achievements and skills acquired through two seminars: "Cyber security and privacy in the Defense administration "and" Defense and space, a new governance for new capabilities ".
In the first seminar, Defense wanted to illustrate the process of revising its personnel and operational communication and management network, to effectively use the cyber environment in the response / reaction to cyber attacks.
The second seminar, on the other hand, provided a precise picture regarding the space sector and how its exploitation went from purely governmental and political affirmation to commercial ones with new actors and new types of threats. In response to these changes, the Italian Defense set up the General Space Office and the Space Operations Command to ensure the protection of national spatial structures.
The "FORUM PA 2020" represents the largest online event for discussion on industrial innovation policies by bringing together representatives of the public and private sector in an entirely streaming event which in the 2020 edition had as its central theme the necessary digital transformation of businesses and of public administrations.
