The new anticovid measures: only 5 days of isolation and no more negative buffer to return outdoors

With a decree law, the Government will revolutionize the anti-covid measures at the next Council of Ministers. In the presence of a positive swab and without symptoms, it will be possible to leave isolation after 5 days without exhibiting a negative swab. Those who, on the other hand, have symptoms will be able to leave the house if they do not have a fever for at least 24 hours, or 48 hours, even if they will have to wear a mask for 5-7 days. However, the health workers who tested positive will have to remain in isolation for 7 days.

The Minister of Health Horace Schillaci he explained that he will go «to 5 days of isolation for asymptomatic people and for those who do not have a virulent disease". "Asymptomatic patients positive for Covid, after 5 days, I think they can be returned to normal activity – Schillaci had said -. Even those with mild symptoms can return earlier, after at least 24 hours of absence of fever, perhaps with some precautions such as a mask, to protect the most fragile».

It won't be necessary to demonstrate negativity with a swab to return to a normal life. After discovering the positivity and being asymptomatic, the new rules will provide that you can leave the house without swabbing while if you have symptoms you can do it at least 24 hours after the symptoms (we are evaluating whether to increase the active vigilance time up to 48 hours).

At the Ministry of Health, the technicians, despite the fact that Covid has become endemic, plan to enforce further caution for those who have fallen ill with Covid with symptoms who could be forced to wear a mask outdoors for at least 5-7 days. On the other hand, isolation for health workers and workers who work in health facilities or in residences for the elderly would remain 7 days.
