Leonardo: 90 Million Euro Offset Agreement (400 million Złoty) with the Polish Ministry of Defense for AW101 helicopters

Leonardo, with an important industrial presence in Poland through the PZL-idwidnik helicopter plant, announced today the signing, through Leonardo MW Ltd, of an Offset Agreement with the Polish Ministry of Defense worth around 90 million ( about 400 million of Złoty). The signing of the Agreement anticipates the contract for the supply of AW101 military helicopters to Poland.

The Offset Agreement guarantees the Polish Ministry of Defense the transfer of important industrial capacity in the field of maintenance for its future AW101 helicopters and for specific mission equipment. These capabilities will be concentrated at Military Aviation Works No. 1 in Łódź, part of the Polish defense group PGZ. Furthermore, the University of Gdańsk will also be among the beneficiaries of the Offset Agreement.

The size of the offset program fully meets the rigorous requirements of the Polish Ministry of Defense. By transferring the necessary skills in the field of maintenance of modern military equipment and with the development and support of the indispensable skills in the country, Leonardo confirms its commitment to a solid and lasting collaboration with the Polish Armed Forces and the national industry.
