Leonardo today announced the sale of two additional AgustaWestland AW139 helicopters for VIP / corporate transport to UK customers, further strengthening its leadership in the worldwide twin engine market for this operating role and holding a share of the 50%. These AW139 are added to the 30 beyond already existing in the UK.

A helicopter will be employed at Fairoaks Airport by Starspeed, a company of Luxaviation Helicopters - the world's largest operator of VIP helicopters - and already a customer of another of Leonardo's new generation of helicopters, the AW169. The second AW139 will be used by a private customer. Both machines will be delivered in the first half of the 2018.
