Leonardo further consolidates its position in the Space Sector by increasing its stake in Avio
Leonardo announces the conclusion of the operations, aimed at the purchase of 988.475 Avio shares. Following the transactions, Leonardo's shareholding increased by 3,75% and is therefore equal to 29,63% of the company's share capital. The operations, carried out on the market, ended on 29 May and involve a total outlay of approximately 14 million euros.
The transaction represents a further consolidation of Leonardo's role as Avio's industrial partner and Leonardo's position in a relevant, strategic sector with important development prospects such as Space, in particular as regards the launcher segment, also thanks to the significant contribution of Italy to European collaboration programs.
