Lebanon, Prime Minister Hariri accuses Iran and resigns. The Country of Cedars is shaking

Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri, son of former Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri, killed in an attack on the Beirut waterfront on February 14, 2005 along with 22 other people, resigned. The unexpected announcement came with a statement released on the al-Arabiya satellite channel and broadcast directly from Saudi Arabia, where Hariri visited yesterday for the second time in five days.
Hariri criticizes the Shiite Hezbollah movement which is part of the Beirut government and argues that the climate created in Lebanon recalls what led to the attack in which his father was killed. Speaking of the current situation in the Land of the Cedars, Saad Hariri underlines: "A state of frustration, fragmentation, division and a climate similar to the one before the murder of Rafiq Hariri".
The former prime minister does not hide the fear of violent actions against his person so much to publicly state that he has evidence that there is a conspiracy against his life and that people would want to be dead.
In this regard, the al-Arabiya satellite TV reported that a few days ago in Beirut an attempted attack against Hariri was thwarted, although the Lebanese Internal Security Forces (ISF) said in a statement that "no have any information "on the merits.
The outgoing premier points the finger mainly at Iran, guilty, according to him, of heavy interference, including through Hetzbollah famously supported by Tehran, throughout the Middle East. “Wherever Iran is present it sows discord and destruction. Iran is moved by a deep hatred towards the Arab world ”then he continued:“ I want to say to Iran and its supporters who have lost and that the hands they have placed on the region will be cut off ”.
Then attacking the Shiite movement he declared: "Hezbollah is the arm of Iran not only in Lebanon, but also in other Arab countries, and we reject the use of their arsenal against the Lebanese and Syrian peoples".
Yesterday, before embarking on another trip to Saudi Arabia, Hariri had met in Beirut Ali Akbar Velayati, a very large Iranian political man who has always been at the top of his country's foreign policy, near the Supreme Leader, of which he is the closest advisor to international affairs. Ali Akbar Velayati, during his visit to Beirut, also visited Hezbollah General Secretary, Hasan Nasrallah.
Iran's response to the not too veiled accusations made by the resigning Hariri is not long in coming. These are in fact the statements released to the local media by Hussein Sheikh al-Islam, adviser to the Supreme Leader of Iran Ali Khamenei: "Hariri's resignation was planned with Donald Trump, the American President, and with Mohamed bin Salman, the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, to destabilize the situation in Lebanon and in the region ”.
UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres "is worried" about the resignation of Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri. In a note from the spokesman, Guterres "hopes that everyone will concentrate their efforts to support the continuity of state institutions in observing the constitution, and safeguarding the security and stability of the country".
Saad Hariri therefore leaves office less than a year after being appointed to the head of the Beirut executive after the previous government experience between 2009 and 2011.
