Record level for Egyptian exports to Moscow, close to 500 million dollars

According to Tarek Qabil, Minister of Foreign Trade and Industry, Egyptian exports to Russia could for the first time exceed the record level of 500 million dollars.

In fact, the country's exports to Russia rose to 464,8 million euros in the period January-November 2017, a significant increase compared to the 350 million euros in the same period of the previous year.

The increase is the result of the efforts made by the Egyptian Trade Office in Moscow, which resulted in the conclusion of more than 20 export opportunities to Russia for a total value of 60 million dollars.

Egypt, Minister Qabil explained in a statement, said it was ready to start negotiations to enter into a free trade agreement with the Eurasian Economic Union in the coming months. "An agreement in this sense would help to significantly increase the volume of trade between Egypt and the countries of the Eurastian bloc", these are the words of Qabil.
