The President of the Arab Parliament Mishal Al-Selmi condemned, with the utmost firmness, the terrorist attack that yesterday hit a mosque in the Libyan city of Benghazi which led to the death and wounding of many faithful.
The head of the Arab Parliament said, in a statement, that the vile act by terrorists, or by criminal gangs, was consummated with bloodshed in the house of prayer, violating a sacred place, terrorizing the faithful and the innocent. This is a heinous crime that is contrary to all religions and human values, stressing that the Arab Parliament strongly condemns such vile terrorist acts and is close to the Libyan people in the war against all forms of terrorism and extremism.
The President of the Arab Parliament therefore provided full support to Libya in all actions deemed necessary to counter terrorist gangs, underlining the need for joint efforts by all countries of the world to fight the common enemy.
The president, at the end of the note, offers the most sincere condolences to the families of the victims and wishes a speedy recovery to the wounded.
