Navy: the Palinuro school ship stopped in Batumi (Georgia) from 23 to 26 in August

Today the Palinuro Navy school ship has arrived in the port of Batumi (Georgia) where it will remain parked until the next 26 in August.

Nave Palinuro is engaged in the 54ª Campaign of education and embarks 33 marshal students of the course "Kratos" of the Petty School of Taranto who, on board the naval unit, will learn the nautical and maritime sciences acquiring a direct knowledge of the various activities associated with 'exercise of the profession of "going by sea" so as to root an adequate mastery and confidence with the future working environment.

The unit left last July 23 from the port of Taranto and after stopping in Kos, Istanbul, Costanza and now Batumi, it will then stop in Kefalonia and then return to Italy in Reggio Calabria and finally in Livorno, where the marshals they will disembark at the end of the training campaign.

During the 2018 training campaign, Palinuro carries the flag of the Gaslini of Genoa, donated to the ship by the president of the Pediatric Hospital last 17 May in La Spezia, on the occasion of the 80 years of the institute.

During the break, Nave Palinuro will be open to public visits on the following days:

  • 23 August: from 16: 00 to 19: 00
  • 24 August: from 09: 00 to 12: 00 and 16: 00 to 18: 30
  • 25 August: from 09: 00 to 12: 00 and 16: 00 to 19: 00
